The process of rotary kiln is built up on solid-state reduction of iron ore by using sub-Bituminous coal as reduction under controlled atmosphere at desired temperature and pressure. The rotary kiln made on L.D. ratio is based between 30-8-m length and more than 4m diameter, it is designed in such a manner that solid feed stock moves under kiln bed in touch with the gaseous atmosphere throughout the kiln where reduction reaction continues to get desired metallization at the time it reaches discharge end. The hot reduced materials need to be cooled to 150 to avoid re-oxidation for that hot materials processed in cooler between 30-50m long and 3m diameter, with positive pressure and brought to desired temperature in the same principle of rotary action. The materials removed from the kiln and after magnetic separation and then become Sponge Iron.
